Aquarius the Water Bearer rules those born from January 21st to February 20th. This zodiacal sign is of the Air Element, despite the figure in common images is seen pouring water from an urn. These candles, sometimes referred to as “Astral” or “Star” candles, are an enhancement to your candle burning spell for you (or the one for whom you are working a candle spell) to give a personal power touch to the spell. Each person is born under one zodiac sign and under the influence of the sign’s planetary influence. If an Astrological Candle is not available in your sign, then you may obtain a plain 7-day glass novena candle in the appropriate color for your sign and use a permanent marker or paint pen to draw the symbol for Aquarius on the outside of the glass. The symbol for Aquarius is two wavy lines, one on top of the other, that resembles watery waves. The Candle color associated Aquarius is Purple and can be anointed with Uranus Condition Oil. The gemstone for Aquarius is...
Posted by Jacqueline on Sep 13th, 2009 in Proper Candle Preparation, Readers Questions | Comments Off on Readers Questions | Why are the Candles Turning Black?
Jacqueline, What do you do with the burnt out candle & the glass of water after a St. Expedite spell & my candle glass was black after the candle burnt does that mean it will not work?? Maria ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maria, Just because the candle glass was black does not mean it was an indication of a candle ‘not working’. Again, we will first cover the physical steps as to why candles turn black. 1. Did you clean the candle? – The wax, the wick and the glass (inside and out) with lemon juice or Florida Water? Residual packing substances can cause sooting and sometimes shifty candle shop owners apply a thin film of oil on the candle itself to try to induce candle blackening – this way you are all upset and com back to buy more candles. Sneaky, isn’t it. Fortunately, these types of people are few. 2. How much condition oil did you place in the top of the candle? Remember, it is not like laundry detergent (“Well…if one cup will get them white, then SURELY two cups will get them even whiter.”) Uh-huh. Use the recommended mystic numbers like 3,7,9,11, and 13 – and no more! Now that we have covered the probable PHYSICAL cause of candle blackening, lets move to the spiritual side. 1. Is your cause Justified? (with a capital letter). This means, are you right to wish this on someone, or in the case of a St. Expedite candle, which is burned for ‘things in a hurry’, are you deserving and justified and right to receive them and will you do the ‘right thing’ with them when you DO receive them? Things that probably will NOT get answered from St. Expedite are quick money to go to the casino, bad boyfriends (or girlfriends) and wishing someone ill will. So again I ask, was your petition paper made out for true and genuine causes and were they Just in the eyes of the Universe? 2. Just because the candle turned black does not mean it was working. If the candle was properly prepared, the cause is Justified, then the sooting or blackening of your candle during your spell means that the reason for your candle and you are under a heavy negative influence. I suggest the next time you begin a candle burn and it starts to turn black, support that candle with a white one lit (after being properly cleaned) next to the original one to ‘bring light’ and additional energy to it. Try that and see what happens. 3. If candles turning black seems to be a common occurrence, you might try doing a spiritual cleaning of the home, room or area of the candle burn to get rid of any negative energy. Disposing of candle and offering remnants to St. Expedite is easy – glass in the recycling bin, water in the plant outside your door, wine or other spirits in the grass and pound cake for the birds. ...

Hello Jacqueline I have found your website and articles very helpful. Kindly let me know exactly what is a pound cake as described in one of your articles as an offering to St. Expedite. Hoping to hear from you Samuel ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Samuel, It is basically a Sara Lee cake that you find in the frozen section of your local grocery store. A pound cake is a buttery type vanilla cake without frosting that is in the shape of a small loaf. Just look for Sara Lee pound cake where you find the frozen fruit pies and other frozen desserts in the store. The Indian Tobacco Candle, also known as the “Indian Spirit” or “Brown Tobacco” candle, is a very old candle that is used for various reasons. Traditionally anointed with “Indian Spirit Guide”, Spirit Guide”, “Blessing” or Patchouli Anointing Oil, it is also sometimes associated with the traditional “Court Case” candle spells and anointed with the products used such as “Court Case” Condition or Anointing Oil. This candle is ususally purchased already scented and with a sticky seal label on top. The scent is earthy, musky and warm. It evokes the image of tobacco. The graphic is of a a tobacco leaf and part of the plant, but you may find an American Indian chief image and has appropriate prayers silkscreened on the glass. This candle may also be considered a good candle for Court Case spells as it is a challenge to get a plain glass brown candle without scent and images silkscreend on the glass. It is also considered a good candle to bring in your Indian Spirits from your Ancestors as the Native Americans were the original inhabitants of this land and had an established form of Justice in place when the Settlers arrived. You may also add a red “Justo Juez” (Just Judge) candle to your Court Case candle spell to boost the power of Justice in your favor. You may purchase your Court Case Anointing Oil as well as other oils at www.lucky13clover.com...
Posted by Jacqueline on Aug 21st, 2009 in Beginners Candle Spells | Comments Off on Free Candle Spells | The Key to Candle Burning Success
A very simple but very true statement regarding candle burning success is: How much do you want this? Case in point, I have had a couple of clients recently that are just capitulating all of their efforts over the length of time it is taking for their love candles to ‘bring them back around’. They are throwing in the towel – plus a few other things! I remind them to go back and read about my own personal experiences with the pink St. Jude love candle spell – written both here on the www.free-candle-spells.com site but also in my other website,www.tarotbyjacqueline.com. Did you know that it took 7 candles (OK do the math – 7 candles times 7 days each candle = 49 days) before the “light bulb came on” – if you know what I mean! It is natural to have days where it seems that nothing is working, and sometimes it isn’t. When you are burning candles to change a situation, there are outside factors you need to determine that are in play at the same time that you are burning your candle. Everyone has an agenda – what is in it for me? – and hormones, time of the Moon, frustrations, diet, rest and environment come into play when creating a candle spell. I ask my clients many, many questions – I need to know what is ‘going on in the background’ to figure out if a red candle should be burnt simultaneously to give energy to the first petition candle, for example, when creating a candle spell for them. Again, I want to caution that also because of these outside influences described above, no candle burning work is 100% guaranteed. If you are working with someone that is claiming a 100% guarantee of their work, please take a step back and give it a moments’ thought and include the above factors listed in the last paragraph. When I discuss longevity regarding doing a spell I consider these things: 1. If it is in regards to love, how long has the other person been gone? – Especially important because the longer they are gone, the harder it is to use candle magic alone to bring them back. Don’t wait for three months expecting them to come crawling back on their knees so you can be right – get right into candle work after a major blowout or break up. I will repeat myself – the longer the other person is gone, the harder it is going to be to use candle magic alone to bring them back. You will need other items in your arsenal to make it happen. 2. What have you changed about yourself that will be an attractant for the ‘lost loved one’ to reconsider and come back? – There is fault on both sides in varying degrees when there is a breakup. Make sure you have taken steps to change YOUR behavior before commenting on others’ behaviors. 3. With regards to money – when do you need it? Christmas 1987? Next year? The 3rd week of each month? – NOOOOOO!!!! You need money each and every DAY and you SHOULD be burning green candles with Bayberry Anointing Oil or one of the Money Drawing Oils until you get your fill. How much is too much money? Well, each bank can hold up to $10,000 in one account in your name. Would be kind of nice that you have at least TWO – $10,000 accounts tucked away in the bank, wouldn’t it? 4. Really…How much can candles really cost you if you are seeing some changes? I can see if you were blowing $25.00...
