Readers Questions | New Moon in Aries Candle Burning Questions

A reader comments: Okay. So I’m trying to figure this all out. Red, green, gold, pink – money – love – new beginning – which goes on what altar. I’m confused! I looked at the color directory and understand the basics but the combos escape me. Red, green and gold mean fast money? But don’t use St. Expedite cuz that is TOO fast. And don’t use pink cuz that is strictly for love. My hoodoo won’t do! Help! Shinita The basic candle colors you mentioned mean (in this order): Red for energy (both used for positive and negative uses), passionate love, a ‘quickie’ (really!). Mostly used for “Fast Luck”, “Run, Devil, Run” and “Reversible” candles, but can be used to bolster or ‘heat up’ any other candle burning for its’ purpose (i.e. A Green candle burning for money and a red candle to ‘make it hurry to you’.) Gold for riches, success and bright, golden light of clarity (“Open My Roads”, “King Solomon”, “Crown of Glory Success”, and “Cut and Clear” candle spells). Said to bring ‘golden showers of riches, fame and knowledge upon you’. Used by students and those taking career-type exams to advance in life. Also used for ‘road opening’ candle spells (when you think you have no opportunities ahead). Green for money, prosperity and riches. Can be used with gold or red candles (in a triangular pattern) for a triple strength money-riches-power drawing candle spell .   Pink for romance and affection. This gets a little confusing. Red candles for love can bring unbridled passion, and if you are not careful, a quick end to the relationship! Why? How many successful relationships you know that is based on the physical aspects of it alone? Not many, I bet. Pink brings in the calming effects of white (remember red + white = pink). White is all about understanding and knowledge. So pink candles fuse these two candle meanings together; red for passion and ardent love, white for understanding and peace. Voila! Hope this helps!  BTW, If you got ‘connections’ with St. Expedite, woo-wee you are one lucky gal! We gotta talk!  😉  ...

Readers Questions | What Do I Do When the Candle Goes Out?

Readers, this is the continuation of an e-mail with questions from a reader that I felt were good to answer in blog posts. You may find a friend or even yourself experiencing some of the same things as our reader who writes: Reader: I was reading the instructions that were enclosed with the oil and powder sachets. It said that IF a candle went out do not re-light it due to negative forces. Jacqueline:>>>>>Yes. Throw candle away and start over. You either didn’t do it right or the thing that you are trying to change is too big and strong and you have to ‘tweak’ your spell. Reader: Should I throw it away (my present plan)? Jacqueline: >>>>Start over. Readers, it is important to focus and prepare your candles right in accordance to traditional cleansing and blessing/anointing methods either taught by your spiritual group or by doing research here at Free-Candle-Spells. There is a category to the right called Proper Candle Preparation, that can answer most of your basic questions. If your candle goes out, toss it out. It is either of poor quality because of hasty, cheap labor manufacturing or you can consider the candle to not have been properly prepared for the situation. With regards to cheap labor, the wick is held down by an aluminum ‘button’ that weighs the wick to the bottom of the glass. However, this does not insure you against wicks with too much ‘play’ in them that they wiggle left or right of center when candle is cooling during the pour. Once a wick has too much ‘play’, it has the tendency to ‘float’ all over the inside of the glass, and even potentially dipping over onto itself and extinguishing the flame. Now for the metaphysical or spiritual answer; you did not prepare the candle properly before lighting and/or the ‘entity’ or ‘problem’ you are burning your candle for is larger than you first realized. Begin again with a fresh candle and maybe even bolster or ‘prop it up’ with a white candle in glass next to it, to bring angelic light and purity to the candle spell. Thank you for the great questions as it has spurred on some more questions that will be posted in the next week!    ...

Readers Questions | Using a Pink Candle on a Money Altar

Readers Questions | Using a Pink Candle on a Money Altar A reader is inquiring about her pink candle that went out on her money drawing altar. We pick up the e-mail conversation from here… Reader: Well, I had originally placed a pink candle (for love) where the red candle is now. It went out…I could not get it to light again. Hhhmm..could this be due to my current situation with my marriage? Jacqueline: >>>>>Could be…but why burn the pink candle on the money altar? Reader: I just assumed it was a bad wick? Jacqueline: >>>>>Maybe. Reader: So, I put it aside and replaced it with the red candle. Jacqueline: >>>>>Red is energy so in love matters, it means ‘wham bam thank you ma’am’ type of sexual thing. Pink is romance. In money matters, (or luck) red means fast acting. I think the most important item to remember here is to think and do research about your candle spell before you begin. I interpret the pink candle going out as a sign that it is not to be on the Money Altar…and just maybe money (or the source or lack thereof) might be a problem IN the marriage. Readers, please remember that you can actually EXACERBATE or create MORE PROBLEMS by using the ‘wrong’ colored candle. Remember that a long time ago, there were no ‘colored’ candles – all were made of a buttery-cream color that comes with sheep and mutton tallow. Tinting the paraffin (which was later used) is an idea that has come about in the last 50 to 70 years, give or take. Please take the time to read through the Candle Colors Directory category located on the right of this page. Now, let’s get this money drawing candle spell done right!...

Readers Questions | Which Candle and Oil to Use for Job Examination?

Readers Questions | Which Candle and Oil to Use for Job Examination? A reader asks: Hi Jacqueline I love your site and great spells. I was wondering what color of candle would be appropriate to light when I go on Jan 26 to do a test for dispatch operator for the police dept. and what kind of spell/oils you recommend and how soon should I start on the ritual and if the moon is in a good phase. I am also going to test this month for California life insurance agent should I use the same spell you recommend? Thank you so much. How much are your jumbo reversible candles? I am having a hard time finding black/green and black/white jumbo free standing candles in San Diego. Thanks, Gabriela First, let me say congratulations on the job opportunity and your decisiveness to have an exciting and fulfilling career. You go, girl! I would use the Crown of Success products or Crown of Glory products to bathe in, anoint with, and burn before your examination – along with some good coffee and hours hitting the books. Since time is short, you may have to do a little “wiggling and squiggling” to get your oils and such, but here is a basic “shopping list” of items to use: (NOTE: You may use these same three candles for both potential employment situations) 1 White Glass 7 -Day Novena Candle – your full name an birth date on piece of white paper placed under this candle. 1 Yellow Glass 7-day Novena Candle – name of agency and job title on piece of white paper under this candle. 1 Red Glass 7-day Novena Candle – petition of power for achievement of goal to gain selection in this position on white piece of paper under candle. “Crown of Success” or “Crown of Glory” Anointing Oil, Bath Crystals and Sachet Powder – to use on in candles, on body and petition papers. HOWEVER… if you CANNOT find these products in town, then substitute with: For Bath Crystals: Mix Epsom Salt and Kosher Salt with Grains of Paradise (aka Guinea Pepper), Master Root (or Masterwort) (will be hard to find) and a Buckeye to carry in your pocket. My might try a Health Foods Store for these herbs. If these things cannot be found, take lots of Epsom Salts (WalMart or Walgreens) soaks followed by a soaping and showering off negative residue. For Candles: In the event you cannot find “Crown of Success” or “Crowning Glory” products, take some Olive Oil in a small saucer and extend your hands over it and pray to blessing and infuse your intentions into the oil. Use this oil in your candles. Remember to clean your candles following the instructions on candle cleaning in my “Proper Candle Preparation” column on the right. For Sachet Powder: Since time is short, you may have to forgo this product. I hope this helps and please let us know how things went for you! Jacqueline P.S. Walgreen’s ALWAYS has red, yellow and white candles, as so some of your area supermarkets in the Latino or Hispanic Foods section. For the half green/half black and the half white/half black free standing candles – we are all hurting because the factory where these are coming out of is relocating and didn’t make enough back stock to keep us in candles. I was just talking with someone about this just yesterday! I am actually in negotiations with a candle maker who may be supplying me with a line very soon. I will keep all of you posted on the outcomes since we are in quality control right now – can’t sell faulty stuff!...
