Rene asks about love candle spells: Hi Jacqueline, I’ve been perusing your website. Do you have a love candle spell I can burn for me and my mate to bring us close? After reading the Saint Jude Love Spell, I’m not certain this is the one I should use. Looking forward to your response. Rene You may be right on this one, Rene, depending on the severity of space between the two of you. Saint Jude is considered the Saint of Impossible Cases, like if uncontrollable events were keeping the two of you apart. If it is just that the two of you are in contact with each other on a regular basis, but you are desiring something more (commitment, more time, quality of time together), then other candle spells will do. Here’s one you can try: INGREDIENTS: 2 – Pink (or White, in a pinch) 7 -day glass Novena-type candles (demonstrated with yellow candles for ease of contrast in photos) 1 bottle of Come to Me or Come Closer Oil Photo of each of you (not together) OR 2 slips of white paper with the full name of each of you written on it and taped to base of candle. Red String (about 24 inches) Clean candles with lemon juice (see category to right on Proper Candle Preparation). Set aside to dry. Tape single photo to each of candle at base of candle or tape name paper in same area (see photo). Set candles on two saucers to catch any drips of wax (if any) and to protect you from fire hazard. Tie red string around YOUR candle and knot it around one candle, leaving long length of red string on one end. (see photo above). Pour a small amount (about 7 drops) of oil in each of the candles. Candles will be placed with some space in between them, you will be moving them closer to each other each day. Loosely loop long end of red string around base of other candle, but NOT TYING in a knot but a loop (see photo). You will need to ‘cinch’ up the slack in the string daily as you move (see photos). Each day, either morning or night, untie the bow and move candle with saucer a bit closer, praying/saying “As I move this candle that represents you my love, you are coming closer to me day by day, until you and I stand side by side.” You may want to change some of the wording to personalize your intentions. As you move THEIR candle closer, re-tie the red string into a bow, making the string somewhat taut, as if you are ‘ropin’ them in’ (pardon the pun) 🙂 Repeat if necessary, replacing candles when needed, until desired effects occur. When you repeat the spell, begin again with the candles far apart, moving them closer every day. ...

I was wondering what color of candle would be appropriate to light when I go on Jan 26 to do a test for dispatch operator for the police dept. and what kind of spell/oils you recommend and how soon should I start on the ritual and if the moon is in a good phase. I am also going to test this month for California life insurance agent should I use the same spell you recommend? Thank you so much. How much are your jumbo reversible candles? I am having a hard time finding black/green and black/white jumbo free standing candles in San Diego. I would use the Crown of Success products or Crown of Glory products to bathe in, anoint with, and burn before your examination – along with some good coffee and hours hitting the books. Since time is short, you may have to do a little “wiggling and squiggling” to get your oils and such, but here is a basic “shopping list” of items to use: (NOTE: You may use these same three candles for both potential employment situations) 1 White Glass 7 -Day Novena Candle – your full name an birth date on piece of white paper placed under this candle. 1 Yellow Glass 7-day Novena Candle – name of agency and job title on piece of white paper under this candle. 1 Red Glass 7-day Novena Candle – petition of power for achievement of goal to gain selection in this position on white piece of paper under candle. “Crown of Success” or “Crown of Glory” Anointing Oil, Bath Crystals and Sachet Powder – to use on in candles, on body and petition papers. HOWEVER… if you CANNOT find these products in town, then substitute with: For Bath Crystals: Mix Epsom Salt and Kosher Salt with Grains of Paradise (aka Guinea Pepper), Master Root (or Masterwort) (will be hard to find) and a Buckeye to carry in your pocket. My might try a Health Foods Store for these herbs. If these things cannot be found, take lots of Epsom Salts (WalMart or Walgreens) soaks followed by a soaping and showering off negative residue. For Candles: In the event you cannot find “Crown of Success” or “Crowning Glory” products, take some Olive Oil in a small saucer and extend your hands over it and pray to blessing and infuse your intentions into the oil. Use this oil in your candles. Remember to clean your candles following the instructions on candle cleaning in my “Proper Candle Preparation” column on the right. For the half green/half black and the half white/half black free standing candles – we are all hurting because the factory where these are coming out of is relocating and didn’t make enough back stock to keep us in candles. I was just talking with someone about this just yesterday! I am actually in negotiations with a candle maker who may be supplying me with a line very soon. I will keep all of you posted on the outcomes since we are in quality control right now – can’t sell faulty stuff!...

Readers, The next three blog posts contain a series of questions that were e-mailed to me in regards to candles. I felt that they were pertinent for all and may be some of the same questions that you might be asking. Please read and enjoy! We pick up the e-mail from here… Reader: Also, what do I do when the wax melts so much it wants to “drown” the lit wick? What do I do with that melted wax to make room for the wick light? Jacqueline: >>>>>If the light has not gone out, don’t mess with it. Of course, then again, don’t put a whole lot of oil in the candle, either. I use seven drops, one for each day of the week. Readers, I have lit candles not only for myself but for clients as well only to check on them some time later and either the candle went out, or has a very low flame, almost only a pinpoint of light at the tip of the wick. There is only two probable causes – physics and metaphyisical. Lets rule out candle burning basics and physics first: When I posed this question to a local candle maker, he offered this explanation: The size of the wick determines how the candle burns. If you have a thin or small wick, the flame downs in the pool of wax. Too large of a wick will make the candle burn way too fast. That is only part of the reason that the commercial “Saints” 7-day Novena type candles you purchase at Walgreens do not last 7 days. The other half of the reason candles burn too fast is because of the various types of paraffin they are using – thanks to the petroleum oil price jump of last summer. When a flame goes low or out, it is because the wick is not thick enough to draw up the right amount of liquid wax to be burned at a normal rate, thus the flame burns towards the pool of liquid wax, seeking fuel in the form of the wax, and the candle puts itself out. Now for the spiritual or metaphysical explanation; you either did not perform the cleansing or blessing/anointing ritual right, you did not focus your intentions right or the ‘entity’ or ‘thing’ that you are trying to change, disperse or draw in is too big for you and/or your intentions. I could be that despite you wanting to send back some negativity to a person you think is trying to give you Hell is really giving it back to you because you started it all! (Pardon my vivid imagination here, but I see PeeWee Herman in one of his movies saying, ‘I know you are but what amI? I know you are but what am I?’ comes to mind) 🙂 More importantly, are you trying to ‘justify’ your stance by burning a candle on a person when maybe you need to do some introspection/reflection on your own actions and maybe burn an candle for you to ‘keep the peace’ or ‘make a change’ for yourself? We cannot rule out the possibility that your candle got spiritually ‘snuffed out’ because someone was already burning candles on YOU!
