It is Palm Sunday and it is a time for celebration but also a time to understand that the next seven days will be the most important ones in the life of Jesus for Christianity.
It is a day for lighting a clean, white vigil candle in glass for peace and remembrance.
If you are able to receive a palm frond today, you can fashion it like a cross and tack it above your door for protection. All palm fronds that are not distributed are burned for the ashes placed on Catholic’s brows on the future Ash Wednesday.
