With all of the news lately regarding the spread of certain strong viruses, it is beneficial that you have knowledge of natural substances that are known to aid and assist in keeping viruses away. The natural components in the oils in the mixture that I am going to give you are known for their antibiotic properties and have been used in combination with other substances for centuries. This is but one recipe that are under a general label of Thieves products.
Clove – Clove oil has biological activities, such as antibacterial, antifungal, insecticidal and antioxidant properties. Clove oil contains a chemical called eugenol, which acts as an anesthetic and antibacterial agent. Clove oil is anti-inflammatory and antifungal.
Lemon – Lemon oil exerts antibacterial and antioxidant properties, present cytoprotective activity and is parasitic repellant. Our results also support the previous findings, micellar lemon oil is effective on all bacteria, probably due to limonene and pinenes.
Cinnamon Bark – The antibacterial activity of cinnamon is due to bioactive phytochemicals such as cinnamaldehyde and eugenol.
Eucalyptus – The essential oil from the leaves of Eucalyptus has been reported to possess antifungal, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties.
Rosemary – The oil extracts of the Rosemary plant show biological bioactivities such as hepatoprotective, antifungal, antioxidant and antibacterial, and the biological properties in rosemary are mainly due to phenolic compounds.

How to use:
* Diffuser: Add 5-6 drops to clear the air when you’ve been around germy people.
* Adults/ages 12 and up: Add 10-12 drops to an ounce of unscented lotion or carrier oil and apply to chest and neck. (Under 12 try 5-6 drops of a combination of lavender and orange). Under 5 best to diffuse 15-30 minutes or cuddle with parents that have applied mixture.
* Aromastick: add 10-15 drops to cotton wick and used as needed. (note clove and cinnamon are very strong oils can be irritating for some).
* Add a drop to water and gargle at the first sign of a sore throat (you can also do this with tea tree and orange).
NOT suggested for hot water/air steaming. Cinnamon, clove, and citrus can be irritating when used in this way.
