The Full Moon in Libra occurs at 1:11 am E.S.T. on Sunday, October 4, 2009. The nature of Libra is considered a ‘cardinal’ air sign, meaning it is intellectual, innovative, investigation and inventive. These are all events that need mental acuity. It is interesting the number 1, 1 and 1 in a row in the time, almost like 1 to the third inensity or of the power of the Trinity.
The energy of this time is driven to completion of projects that have been stalled or waiting. It is about “Getting the Job Done”, however it is important that safety is of the utmost importance since you may be so intensely focused on the end result that you throw caution to the wind. Drive carefully for the next two weeks and do not operate any machinery while exhausted. You may have a sudden ‘flash of brilliance’ or the proverbial light bulb might come on over your head, allowing you to see things that were not considered before.
This is a great time to beautify your altar space, meditation or prayer room or temple. It is a good time to make ceremonial clothing or robes and altar cloths. If you are so inclined, this is also a good time to make your own specialty candles.
The Full Moon in Libra is a good time to form partnerships and to burn candles towards that goal. Libra governs the symbol of the scales, denotes balance in a partnership or team, so that all will be considered an equal. Yellow candles in glass, anointed with “Crowning Glory” or “Crown of Success” Condition Oil are appropriate at this time.
The next New Moon occurs on October 18, 2009.
